Wheaton Academy's Ryan Dzingel Earns All-State Honors

     Senior shortstop Ryan Dzingel has been named to the 2010 Illinois Class 3A All-State Team by the Illinois Baseball Coaches Association. Ryan is the first baseball player in the history of Wheaton Academy to earn such an honor. He was one of 19 individuals named to the squad. Ryan will be honored on July 26 at the Chicago White Sox game for being selected to the All- State Team.

Wheaton Academy Presents Singin’ in the Rain

     It is time once again for the Spring Musical, and this year the Academy Theatre is proud to present the Broadway musical Singin’ in the Rain.

     Singin' in the Rain is one of the most well-known and loved musicals of all time because of the catchy songs, meticulous tap-dancing, dramatic films, and of course, the rain. Set in Hollywood in 1927, the story shows how silent film stars made the transition to talking pictures. There are over 200 students involved in the cast, pit, and crews.

The performances are February 26 and 27 and March 4, 5, and 6. All shows begin at 7:00 p.m. and dessert is served at intermission. Ticket information is available on and tickets are available for $10 per person. Continue reading "Wheaton Academy Presents Singin’ in the Rain"

Wheaton Academy Starting the New Year Strong with Cutting Edge Academic Program

     On Monday, January 4, Wheaton Academy launched its annual Winterim program. Wheaton Academy is one of the few private schools around the nation that offer such a program. Winterim runs for the first two weeks of January and provides opportunities for students to take a variety of classes like World War II: Changing History and Challenging Values, Cooking for Guys, and Fitness for Life. These are just three of the 48 classes that are being offered during Winterim.
