9:00am [9:30am] Watercolor Class (Painting with Water)
Dates: Saturdays, October 6, 13, 20, 27 and November 3 and 10 Students will learn watercolor technique with artist Kristine Plum on Saturdays October 6, 13, 20, 27 and November 3 and 10, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until noon at Gallery 200, 200 Main Street, West Chicago. The painting class will focus on the basic composition, value and color blending required for making a balanced and interesting landscape or floral. The cost is $72 paid in advance for all six sessions, or $14 for one individual class and is open to students age 18 and over. Credit toward prepaid missed classes will be given during the next spring session . [10:00am] ESL Conversation Group
Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) learners practice English in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with an instructor present. There is no charge for attendance. It is not necessary to make a commitment or to register to attend the group. Individuals are welcome to attend whenever they can. All adult English learners are welcome to this group which meets the first and third Saturdays of the month.

1:00pm [1:00pm] NaNoWriMo Kick-off Party
NaNoWriMo participants have a chance to meet each other and get revved up about the challenge ahead. Light refreshments and scintillating conversation will be provided. November is National Novel Writing Month Founded in 1999, the fiction-writing extravaganza known as “NaNoWriMo” encourages everyone in the world to spend November bashing out a 50,000 word novel. Not for fame or fortune, but because it’s crazy good fun! Check out our NaNoWriMo events scheduled for November, then come on in! We’ve got your writing table ready!

9:00pm [9:00pm] Annual Bazaar and Luncheon
This year’s bazaar features handmade gifts, ornaments, home & garden decorations, gift baskets; easy to prepare mixes-in-a-jar, pecans, bake sale & white elephant sale Luncheon features hot beef sandwiches, salad buffet, beverages & desserts. Cost is $7/adult; $3.50/children (3-12)
