South Elgin Advanced Photography Exhibit Date: January 3 – 27, 2013 Students enrolled in the Advanced Photography class at South Elgin High School present an exhibit of works that represent them both technically and conceptually as artists. A free Opening Reception of the “South Elgin Advanced Photography Exhibit” on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gallery, 200 Main Street, West Chicago, will provide an opportunity to meet the artists and explore their mastery of traditional darkroom techniques as well as their contemporary digital works. Great Movies from Amazing Books! In keeping with our Winter Reading Program theme, “The Book Was Better!”, we will be screening some great movies this winter that are based on amazing books. Join us in January for the following: January 10 The Help – Rated PG-13 (Based on the novel by Kathryn Stockett) January 24 The Hunger Games – Rated PG 13 (Based on the novel by Suzanne Collins)

[7:00pm] Knit Night
For those who prefer fiber arts, Thursday evenings have become Knit Night at Gallery 200, 200 Main Street, West Chicago from 7:00-9:00 p.m. People are invited to enjoy a relaxing evening while working on their own knit or crochet projects in a social atmosphere.
