The WeGo Wildcats Special Olympics Club at Community High School District 94 is hosting a fundraiser at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Bishop Gym, 326 Joliet Street. The competition is a basketball game between the West Chicago Police Department versus Winfield Police Department, each having one half the Special Olympics players on their respective teams. The half time show features the West Chicago Steppers. The charge is a one-dollar donation at the door, but people may donate more if so moved, said Dave Hempe, club athletic director.
Also persons unable to attend may contribute by making a check to WeGo Wildcats Special Olympics Club and mail to the attention of Kathe Doremus at State Bank of Illinois, 600 E. Washington St., West Chicago, IL 60185-2318.
